Who doesn’t love a customized keychain or bag charm? If you are looking for an awesome and relatively easy project look no further.
What you Need:
- Acrylic Blank(s)
- Vinyl Cutter
- Vinyl
- SVG of design
There are many places you can get acrylic blanks online. Obviously I prefer Mythical Wonderland Workshop for my blanks and SVG’s (Because it’s me!) and we purchase our vinyl from Ante Up Graphics and Supplies
Once you have your SVG and you have chosen your colors, and cut your vinyl out, Place the vinyl on to the acrylic blank, making sure to remove any protective film that might be present on the blank.
Many people choose to use UV Resin to glitter the back of the blank to give a little more flair to the project and to seal the front, but if you use permanent vinyl and don’t want glitter, you don’t need to use resin or any other protective coating to seal the vinyl.
Next you want to decide what findings you will use for your acrylic charm, This will depend upon its use. If you are making something to hang on a bag, I typically use lobster claw clasps.
You can choose to bead your project using an elastic style cord or you can use metal jump rings. The possibilities here are endless! I often use acrylic or wooden beads and a lobster clip to create my bag charms.
